FAQ
Do I need to buy the theme separately?
Yes. To comply with Shopify’s licensing rules, you must purchase your OpenThinking theme directly from the Shopify Theme Store. This ensures you have a valid license, ongoing theme updates, and access to our official support.
Is the price for the store setup in addition to the theme cost?
Correct. The Flagship Setup price covers the service work — installation, configuration, styling, and content setup — but does not include the theme license or Shopify subscription fees.
Do you work with themes from other developers?
No. We only work with OpenThinking themes (Bullet or Etheryx) because we know them inside out. This lets us deliver the best possible results quickly and efficiently.
Can you install apps for me?
We’ll recommend the right apps for your needs but won’t install or configure them as part of this service. This avoids unnecessary recurring costs and keeps your store lean.
How do we communicate during the project?
All communication is 100% async via email and a shared Notion workspace. No calls, no meetings — just clear, trackable updates so we both stay focused.
What happens if I need changes after launch?
Your package includes a handoff document so you can make updates yourself. If you’d like us to make changes later, you can book them as a separate Custom Features slot.
How far in advance should I book?
We take a maximum of 3 projects per month (1 Flagship Setup, 2 Custom Features). If you want to secure your spot, we recommend applying at least 4–6 weeks in advance.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the limited number of slots and high-touch nature of the work, all bookings are final once confirmed.
Can you work on my store if it’s already live?
Yes — for Flagship Setup, we can work on a duplicate theme so your live site remains unaffected until launch. For Custom Features, we’ll build in a safe preview environment and only publish when ready.
Do you offer payment plans?
No. All services are billed 100% upfront to secure your slot. This keeps our process lean and scheduling predictable.
Do you migrate stores from other platforms?
We don’t offer full platform migrations. Flagship Setup is designed for Shopify stores using OpenThinking themes.
What happens if I need more products/pages than included?
We can quote additional product or page setups at a flat per-item rate, agreed before starting.
Will my site work internationally?
Yes — all OpenThinking themes are built to support multi-currency and multi-language via Shopify Markets. We’ll configure your base setup, but country-specific setups are not included.
Do you handle ongoing support?
No monthly retainers — but you can book Custom Features slots for future changes.
What if I miss my start date?
If you delay beyond your booked month, we’ll reschedule you to the next available slot. Your deposit remains non-refundable.
How will my project be delivered?
All files, configurations, and documentation will be delivered via your Notion project space and your Shopify account, so you own 100% of the final result.
